Avatr reveals T09 plug-in hybrid SUV with six seats in Chinese regulatory filing

China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has officially registered the Avatr T09, a plug-in hybrid SUV engineered for six passengers. The vehicle measures 5,285 mm in length, 2,025 mm in width, and 1,810–1,820 mm in height, with a wheelbase spanning 3,150 mm.

Two powertrain variants are available. The first combines a 1.5-litre engine producing 110 kW (105 kW net) with dual electric motors delivering peak combined power of 180 kW and 310 kW respectively. The second pairs a 2.0-litre unit generating 155 kW (150 kW net) with three electric motors—one at the front and two at the rear—each rated at 180, 225, and 225 kW respectively.

Both versions employ a 71.24 kWh ternary lithium battery from CATL and support external charging. The T09 achieves a top speed of 220 km/h across all configurations. Curb weights range from 2,880 kg to 3,035 kg depending on powertrain selection.

The regulatory filing reveals extensive customisation options spanning exterior elements: customers can select from multiple front grille designs, wheel styles, roof glass treatments, bumper configurations, skid plates, spoilers, and side steps. Two-tone body finishes, roof rails, and various badging options complete the palette. The vehicle is equipped with an Event Data Recorder and supports ETC device installation. Pricing remains undisclosed.
