Volkswagen Opens Pre-Sales for ID. Unyx 09 Electric Coupe in China from 29,400 USD
Volkswagen Anhui has opened pre-orders for the ID. Unyx 09, a mid-to-large electric coupe unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show 2026. The single-motor version starts at 199,900 yuan (29,400 USD), while the dual-motor AWD variant is priced at 249,900 yuan (36,800 USD). Customer deliveries are scheduled to commence at the end of October 2026.
Volkswagen Anhui initiated pre-orders for the ID. Unyx 09 on 24 September 2026, with customer deliveries scheduled to begin at the end of October. The vehicle showcases a streamlined fastback design measuring 5,081 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,509 mm (or 1,526 mm depending on configuration) in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030 mm.
The ID. Unyx 09 features DLP high-definition matrix projection headlights with interactive LED units capable of projecting lane-guidance "light carpets" to enhance nighttime visibility. The interior incorporates an 85-inch AR heads-up display, a dedicated instrument cluster, and a large floating central touchscreen powered by an AI assistant. The vehicle is equipped with the VLA intelligent driving assistance system, supported by a Turing AI chip offering 750 TOPS of computational power.
The single-motor version delivers 230 kilowatts of power, achieving a CLTC range of 755 kilometres (612 kilometres under WLTP conditions). The dual-motor AWD variant, combining front and rear electric motors, provides a CLTC range of 705 kilometres (571 kilometres under WLTP). All variants utilise CATL lithium iron phosphate battery packs rated at 91.963 kWh, with support for 5C ultra-fast charging technology.
