Geely's Zeekr Adds 85-kWh Battery Option to 7X in Q4 2026
Zeekr, Geely's premium brand, will introduce the 2027 model-year 7X electric SUV in China during the fourth quarter of 2026. The key update includes an 85-kWh Golden Battery option that bridges the capacity gap between the current 75-kWh and 103-kWh battery offerings, providing consumers with additional choices across different price and range tiers.
Zeekr announced plans to update the 7X electric SUV by introducing an 85-kWh battery pack branded as Golden Brick, developed by Geely. The vehicle will maintain the current generation's exterior design while offering new interior and exterior color selections.
The new 85-kWh battery option is designed to fill the capacity gap between existing offerings. The current 7X launches with a 75-kWh battery in the entry-level version and features a 103-kWh pack in higher-tier variants. The manufacturer has not disclosed additional technical specifications such as charging performance or the electrical architecture platform for this intermediate battery option.
Prior to the 2027 model's market debut, Zeekr will continue offering three complimentary equipment packages on the current 7X within the Chinese market, valued at 18,999 yuan combined. These options comprise a power-adjustable rear sofa, an intelligent refrigerator unit, and 20-inch multi-spoke wheels.
The 7X serves as a critical sales pillar for the brand, delivering 62,865 units during the first seven months of 2026, representing 29.35% of Zeekr's total deliveries. Global orders for the model have exceeded 200,000 units, with the SUV now available across more than 50 countries and territories.
